Performance Reports

Achieve3000 includes LevelSet, the Lexile placement test that is administered at least two times yearly. In addition, the program includes Activities that monitor students’ reading comprehension and vocabulary each time they complete the 5-Step Literacy Routine. These activities are also used to assess student Lexile gains throughout the school year. LevelSet is a summative assessment; the activities are formative assessments.

Research shows that when students complete a minimum of 40 Activities tied to an Article, they can begin to see significant academic progress. Achieve3000 recommends completing at least two reading activities per week, for a total of 80 activities over the course of a ten-month school year. Since students do not usually achieve significant gains until they have completed 40 activities, we do not advise teachers or administrators to analyze Lexile gains before students have met the 40-activity usage goal.

  • All Usage and Performance reports are updated nightly. Student usage and activities will show up on these reports the morning after they have been completed. To view your students' work immediately, use the reports listed in Student Work.
  • All student work is associated to the class the student was in when the work was completed. You can view work completed in other classes by changing the options on the report page.
  • You can use Achieve3000 to forecast student performance on state assessments. The available report forecasts high-stakes test performance based onstudents' current Lexile scores, helping schools plan aggressive intervention where it is most needed.
  • You can also use Achieve3000 to forecast students’ college and career readiness. In addition, many reports contain an icon that shows which students are on-track for college and career readiness.
